2.- TESTS
In the following photos you can see the data acquisition equipment which was mounted on the BMW. Among the many parameters which can be registered are the: suspension travel, steering rotation angle, velocity of each wheel, position, velocity and acceleration of the motorcycle using GPS, acceleration of the three axles, accelerator position, rpm and gears used.
Strain gauges have also been installed to measure the deformation of the chassis. The objective of this procedure is to obtain sufficient data for the comparison of the original motorcycle with the prototype and also the start of experimentation with extensometry.
